Return the date and hours currently selected in the calenderThe idea is that i would like to select a certain date in a calender view and pick a number of hours and then right click to create the new journalitem, where the date and hours of the new journalitem is the ones that I pick out before. However getting a hold of the currently selected date and hours is last outstanding issue I have before the solution is finished. But looking into this newsgroup, I looks like this is impossible. Because I have seen several posting from the last couple of years that have asked a similar question and always with the same answer - it can't be done. Is that really the case ? If this is the case - can anyone answer me how the date and hours you selected in the calender is transfered to a new appointment ? Why can't this be done in VBA code ? I know that it is a lot of questions Happy new year Keld It can't be done as far as I know. What Outlook can do internally has
nothing to do with what is exposed for the programmer of Outlook. You have to just accept the fact that Outlook can do it and as a programmer you can't. -- Show quoteHide quoteKen Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Reminder Manager, Extended Reminders, Attachment Options http://www.slovaktech.com/products.htm "KLAT" <keld.wesenberg.lyng***@tdcadsl.dk> wrote in message news:af4c18c7.0412270426.28223974@posting.google.com... >I would like to make a customized from for new journal items. > > The idea is that i would like to select a certain date in a calender > view and pick a number of hours and then right click to create the new > journalitem, where the date and hours of the new journalitem is the > ones that I pick out before. > > However getting a hold of the currently selected date and hours is > last outstanding issue I have before the solution is finished. > > But looking into this newsgroup, I looks like this is impossible. > Because I have seen several posting from the last couple of years that > have asked a similar question and always with the same answer - it > can't be done. > > Is that really the case ? > > If this is the case - can anyone answer me how the date and hours you > selected in the calender is transfered to a new appointment ? > Why can't this be done in VBA code ? > > I know that it is a lot of questions > > Happy new year > Keld
