Unsuccessful Restore Leaving Database in 'Loading' StateHi Folks,
I am having problems restoring a BAK from one system onto another system. I am getting "cannot associate files" errors. But my immediate problem is that my unsuccessful restore attempts have left my database in a "Loading/suspect" state. How do I get back to some normal state? Then I would appreciate some help with the restoring problems. Can give more details later. Thanks, Tom Tom Glasser (TomGlas***@discussions.microsoft.com) writes:

If you use a GUI to restore (which I recommend against), you can use the Script button in SQL Server Management Studio to get the command SSMS uses. If you are on SQL 2000, you will need to use Profiler to spy on Enterprise Manager. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esq***@sommarskog.se Books Online for SQL Server 2005 at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/downloads/books.mspx Books Online for SQL Server 2000 at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/previousversions/books.mspx |
