Guys,

I am new to this version.  We set our file age to delete after 5 days, but
it is not doing it.

We used the maitenance plan to backup the data/transacation.

I checked "Delete files based oon the age of the file at task run time". Do
we have to specify a file location/name?

Exactly which version of SQL Server 2005, do you have? There have been
some bugs around this. Make sure that you have at least 9.00.3054. Note
that you find on the download page for SP2 is 9.00.3042.

Erland,

Thanks for your response.

Our version indeed is lower (9.00.3042.00).

I will look into the SP option.
