Can't Export to a Fixed Width Flat File - No Row Delimiters

We're in the process of migrating from SQL2000 to SQL2005.  One of the first
steps we've taken (after testing & evaluation) is to give the 2005 Client
Tools to a couple of test groups in our department.

Using the 2005 Client tools to access a SQL2000 DB, one of our users
discovered that when he exported a table to a Fixed Width Flat File output,
no row delimiters were used, so all his data is on one continuous row.

I've tried the same table and a couple of others, both on a SQL2000 server
and a SQL2005 server and I get the same thing.

He's using 2005 with SP1 on WinXP SP2, I've tried with 2005 SP1 & SP2 on XP
SP2.

The full row length of the original file would've been about 3600
characters.  I tried exporting a single, 10 character column from that able
and got the same thing.

When I go through the export wizard, the area where you can enter row/column
delimiters is greyed out (i'm guessing that's becuase it's a fixed-width
file).

any ideas?
