Stopping a RestoreI stopped a restore right after it started and the database still appears to
be restoring even though no processes are running against this database. Does anyone know what happens when you stop a restore? Is there a system command I can run to see what's happening with this database? The database isn't usable when you stop in the middle of a restore. You can't do anything useful
with it, so just drop it and start over. Since you have initiated the restore, you can't get the "old" database back (with less than doing a ... restore). -- Show quoteTibor Karaszi, SQL Server MVP http://www.karaszi.com/sqlserver/default.asp http://sqlblog.com/blogs/tibor_karaszi "BetR" <B***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6CA5E0DE-5A2E-470F-93C5-BF4DB09E5505@microsoft.com... >I stopped a restore right after it started and the database still appears to > be restoring even though no processes are running against this database. > Does anyone know what happens when you stop a restore? Nothing much you can do. Only way is to restore the database again using the backup file. Thanks Hari Show quote "BetR" <B***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6CA5E0DE-5A2E-470F-93C5-BF4DB09E5505@microsoft.com... >I stopped a restore right after it started and the database still appears >to > be restoring even though no processes are running against this database. > Does anyone know what happens when you stop a restore?
