If, Then statement that results in other if, then statementsI need a formula or something that will do the following:
If cell1 = 5, then use this set of if, then statements If cell1 = 6, then use this set of if, then statements, etc. I know it may not be possible to use a formula because you can only nestup to 7 if, then statements. Is there a simple way to enter it into visual basic? or something else? Thanks! Hello CPROULXM,
There is no such limitation on if statements in SQL Server. Are you trying to do this in EXCEL Simon Sabin SQL Server MVP http://sqlblogcasts.com/blogs/simons Show quote > I need a formula or something that will do the following: > > If cell1 = 5, then use this set of if, then statements If cell1 = 6, > then use this set of if, then statements, etc. > > I know it may not be possible to use a formula because you can only > nestup to 7 if, then statements. The chances that you get better reply in a forum of Excel experts is considerably higher than a randomly chosen place. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esq***@sommarskog.se Books Online for SQL Server 2005 at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/downloads/books.mspx Books Online for SQL Server 2000 at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/previousversions/books.mspx CPROULXM wrote:

Your X-Newsreader: line indicates that you're using "Microsoft CDO", which is apparently some sort of Exchange plug-in. What sort? > but it wouldn't let me... What exactly happened when you tried? How far did you get, and whatmessage did you receive at that point? Ed Murphy (emurph***@socal.rr.com) writes:
