Unknown Connection manager error

I am running into an error with one of the desktops using the Import
wizard. When the user chooses Excel as the data source, it throws the
Unknown connection manager error.

I read about a similar problem in this group that the posting was in
March, and I have re-installed the MDAC.inf without correcting the
problem. I have 2 other desktops that can connect and run the Import
wizard with no problems at all. Please advise.
