SSMS05 : turn on line numbers

In SSMS05 ,

Tools > Options > Text Editor > Plain Text > General > Line Numbers

I check the box , but no line numbers show in the .sql windows.

You need to select

Tools > Options > Text Editor > All Languages > General > Line Numbers
