SQL Server 2005 Management Studio - SLOWI've recently "upgraded" to SQL Server 2005 and it is painfully slow. The
management studio takes a long time to come up, opening a stored procedure or view for modification takes a long time to open, and the diagrams tool is slow. I'm running on a dual-proc Xeon 3 GHz machine with 2 GB of RAM, so it should fly as it did with SQL Server 2000. Are there some optimization options that need to be set? I understand there are always growing pains with learning a new version of software, but I'm finding this release very cumbersome in a lot of respects. The lack of speed definitely tops the list though in reducing productivity! I had a similar problem, see posting on 1/25/2006.
