Logging details in SQL Server 2005 Maintenance PlanIn setting up maintenance plans in SQL 2005, I am unable to get the
maintenance plans to log the details. Under the "Reporting and Logging" dialog, I do have "Log Extended Information" checked. All I get in the log file is: Microsoft(R) Server Maintenance Utility (Unicode) Version 9.0.1399 Report was generated on "A0040SDev". Maintenance Plan: System DB MaintenancePlan Duration: 00:00:00 Status: Succeeded. Details: No Details...... Where and how in SQL 2005 do I make sure that the details are logged in the log file? More info on problem...
Noticed this occurred when using the Maint Plan wizard and then adding steps to it afterward. Does not occur when you run the Maint Plan vanilla without ever editing it. There needs to be a solution for this. Who uses Maintenance Plans vanilla? Went to report it as a problem. Someone reported as a problem in the Sept
2005 CTP edition. It remains as a problem in the commercially released version. Show quote "Andrew J.
