Enterprise Manager is pooched on my system. Every time I try to connect to a
server it throws an error:

"Reason: Specified driver could not be loaded to a system error 126 (SQl
Server)..

Please verify SQL Server is running and check your SQL Server registration
properties (by right-clicking on the node) and try again."

I get the same error when I try to run QA as well.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I reinstalled MDAC 2.8 SP1
and SP4 for SQL 2k and none of it helps.

Any ideas?

Hi

I would have said this was an MDAC issue, did you use the component checker
before installing it again to see if it was not complete? Can you connect to
this machine from a different workstation? Can you connect with osql? Have
you checked the windows event log for any errors?

Check out http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;232060
regarding un-installing mdac and if that fails you may want to try
unregistering/deleting the dlls before re-installing mdac.
