Cant get SQL Server Mgmt Studio Express CTP to run..

A couple of weeks ago I installed VB Express 2005, SQL Express 2005, and
SSMS Express CTP and all were running fine. Then one day last week I tried
opening SSMS Express CTP and nothing happened...no startup screen...nothing.
The mouse pointer turned to a pointer/hourglass briefly, as if it was
starting, but then back to a regular pointer. I tried running from the
shortcut, from the run dialog, and by double clicking the executable ...
nothing. I uninstalled, reinstalled several times - sometimes restarting
the computer after each uninstall and reinstall. I uninstalled, looked for
all references to ssmsee in the registry and removed them, then reinstalled,
and still nothing. There is no indication of ssms running in the task bar
(under processes).

Any idea why SSMS Express refuses to run? Is there a time bomb on the CTP
version?

The computer I'm trying to run it on is a Dell Inspiron 9300 w/ 1GB ram,
20+GB HD free space, WinXP SP2.
