Hi,

I have installed the Sql2005 workgroup edition, and am looking to use the
update profiler tool, which is a component I used a lot in 2000.

The docs say its there, and shows how to start the Sql Profiler, but I do
not have the options available to me...

is there no profiler tool in the workgroup version ?

It should be there.  Did you check the installer to make sure you installed
it?  I'm not certain that it gets installed by default.  Once you do get it,
it will be under "Performance Tools".

I don't even have a performance group.

When I attempted to reinstall, there seemed to be no option to install
performance type tools

Is itin the workgoup edition?

Are you installing the RTM version? IIRC, Profiler was invisible after
installation on one of the beta builds but it definitely installs cleanly on
the RTM build (I've installed Standard & Enterprise but not workgroup).
