Mirroring SQL 2000 Data base filesHi,
I want to confirm that is there any Microsoft or Third Part solution available from which we can Mirror SQL server Data base Folder to another server like mirror DB files from one machine to another. Waiting for your quick response. Thanks Aasim Ashraf

Have not used it, but the demo I saw was cool.... No affiliation with them Show quote "Aasim Ashraf" <Aasim Ash***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:70C3D86C-BBD0-4717-A0CA-826E52DC16AD@microsoft.com... > Hi, > I want to confirm that is there any Microsoft or Third Part solution > available from which we can Mirror SQL server Data base Folder to another > server like mirror DB files from one machine to another. > > Waiting for your quick response. > > > Thanks > Aasim Ashraf Another is LifeKeeper from Steeleye. We use it and it's an amazing
application. Continuous async mirroring and less than 5 minutes to detect failure and switch to backup server. http://www.steeleye.com/ Be advised that any solution like this, whether it's Double Take, Lifekeeper or other, will not be cheap. -- Show quoteRegards, Hank Arnold "Kevin3NF" <KHill@NopeIDontNeedNoSPAM3NF-inc.com> wrote in message news:%23PfthIf6FHA.1864@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > http://www.nsisoftware.com/what-we-offer/solutions/sql-server.aspx > > Have not used it, but the demo I saw was cool.... > > No affiliation with them > > -- > Kevin Hill > President > 3NF Consulting > > www.3nf-inc.com/NewsGroups.htm > > > "Aasim Ashraf" <Aasim Ash***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:70C3D86C-BBD0-4717-A0CA-826E52DC16AD@microsoft.com... >> Hi, >> I want to confirm that is there any Microsoft or Third Part solution >> available from which we can Mirror SQL server Data base Folder to another >> server like mirror DB files from one machine to another. >> >> Waiting for your quick response. >> >> >> Thanks >> Aasim Ashraf > > Hi
I would only use EMC's SRDF at SAN level. There are a bunch of other 3rd party tools around that claim to work with SQL Server. Use them only after you have fully tested them as you might get a rude shock that they either may kill performance or corrupt your data. Kevin Hill mentioned on of them.
