Questions on registering server in SSMSE

I have installed SQL Server Management Studio Express with SQL Server 2005
Express.

However, I find that every time I invoke SSMSE, I am asked to connect to a
Database. I would like to know is it the expected behaviour ?

I find that there are commands like - Register / Create Server Group under
database engine but I cannot find out any information in the Express BOL. I
would like to know is it possible for me to get those connected SQL Servers
registered with SQL Server Group created ?
