Yesterday I would sware:-
I used Data Transformation Services to Import tables from Ms Access

Data Transformation Services converted memo Fields in Access into nText in teh SQL Server Table

I then use Enterprise Manager > Design Tables to convert nText Fields to VarChar(nn)

Today
If I try the same thing then the system simply refuses to do it.

How can I convert nText fields to VarChar (the memo fields contain data which is within the VarChar length limit
