Performance Counters Disappear

I am using logman to stop and start a performance log for the SQL counters as
well as some Windows counters.

This process works well for several weeks and then it drops all the counter
except for a few, it leave disk queue lenght and memory/pages sec.

The only I have found to restore the counters is to rebuild the counter log.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
