| I want to create a template for users of our sharepoint site.  I want the template to already have predefined
| sub areas as well, which would be in the left navigation when you open the page.  Is it possible to have a
| template do that or does it only define the 1 page and it's zones/parts?
|
| thanks.

DWT's aren't supported in SharePoint.  See the MS doc on using FrontPage to
edit SharePoint sites.  There you'll see what is and isn't supported.

I read about using DWTs in the Microsoft book, "Sharepoint Products and Technologies" under Using Microsoft
Office FrontPage 2003 to Customize Sharepoint Products - Advanced Customization.

SizzleMaster
I stand corrected.  Here's the text from the doc from MS.

DWTs can be used without problems on new pages in a portal site, but you
should use caution in using DWTs on default pages in SharePoint Portal
Server sites.
