Getting error 0x80004005 while retrieving the public folder tableI am getting error 0x80004005 while retrieving the public folders from
exchange 2003 using the GetPublicFolderStore table of the IExchangeManageStore. I could not able to get the public folder table. Also the mapi profile used to get the public folder table has the sufficient rights. Please let me know the resolution if any one has faced this problem. What kind of MAPI do you have on that machine? Is it an Outlook or Exchange
one? version of Outlook MAPI. Exchange Server version of MAPI is the only one that works. Note that you can install a standalone version of MAPI (it won't install if you already have Outlook though). I have written the code to get the list of public folders from exchange server using the GetPublicFolderTable method of IExchangeManageStore interface. My code asks for the outlook profile to be used & the exchange server name. When I ran the code by providing the profile of user on server S3 & public folder server name S1 it works properly & it get’s the list of the public folders on the server. Whereas if I ran the same code using the same profile & public folder exchange server name S2 it throws the error code 0x80004005. I am running the code on the machine having Outlook MAPI installed. This machine is not the exchange server. Also the profile user has full rights on the exchange server. Please help me in finding the resolution for this products.
