File Download warning

I got a window alerting me to a program download if I opened or saved it.
The program ends in .exe, and I'm almost sure it's a trojan horse virus. How
can I delete it before it gets installed? Thanks in advance.

As long as you don't run it, it can't get installed.

And for future reference, this is not a general purpose "answer my
random PC user question" newsgroup. If your question doesn't have
something to do with writing .NET Framework software, you need to find
a different, more suitable newsgroup for your question.
