How do you turn off auto proxy detection?to go because my company has tightened its proxy restrictions. Basically the AUTO-DETECTION of a proxy that has been set up for the browser to hinder certain website access is causing .NET / WCF to use the proxy when sending messages bound for a different web service (not the proxy). What I want to do is make .NET / WCF NOT auto-detect the proxy. This nice feature, which is great if you want the behavior, is causing me big headaches because I'm ignorant of how to turn it off. I tried turning the usesystemdefault to "false" in web.config but it didn't help: <defaultProxy> <proxy usesystemdefault="true" /> </defaultProxy> There's got to be a simple way to turn off auto proxy detection. Please help. |
