How to create a CLR DLL for Sql Server 2005? Is it just any .net class
library that you can load into Sql Server 2005 or is there some special
project type that I need to start with?

Please stop copying your entire post to the Subject field.  As I
mentioned before, the text in your post is not an appropriate thing to
put in the Subject field.  In that field you should write an accurate,
concise summary describing the topic of your post.  A dozen words or
less is typical.
