The laptop that I want to have, has Windows Media Center. I was reading on net that the main differance between Win XP Pro and WMC is that WMC has 'joining a domain capability disabled'. ..--------------- Here is an excerpt: Media Center is essentially just an application that's installed on top of the XP Pro operating system. Other than two specific networking features that are disabled (domain joining after installation, and cached credentials), MCE 2005 _IS_ XP Pro. --------------- Questions to IT: 1. What does 'joining a domain capability disabled' mean, does it mean that i cant be on the office network. 2. Ideally i need XP pro installed where do they get their machines from. regards, irfan Appologies, for the irrelevant post.
