HttpWebRequest Date header is not sent over to a web-server

HttpWebRequest Date header is not sent over to a web-server.

I understand that it is a restricted header and is supposed to be set by the
system to the current date and thant's fine but when I analyze the request I
don't see any date header.

How do you know that this header is not set?
Try using http debugging proxy like Fiddler tool to
see if that header is set
