Hi,

I wonder if it is ok to have installed in a computer .Net Framework 1.0, 1.1
and 2.0. What happen is that I start having a problem with IIS after install
Visual Studio 2005 which installed .Net Framework 2.0. The IIS icon
disapeared from the Adminstratives Tools. I can't run "inetmgr" either. I
re-installed IIS without a problem, but this doesn't create the IIS icon in
Administrative Tools and I can't run with "inetmgr" as well.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

Yes, it is OK to have .NET Framework 1.x and 2.0 installed on the same
computer. I am even running .NET 1.x, 2.0, and 3.0 on the same computer.
They are compatible and run just fine side by side.

I am not sure why you lost your IIS icon in Administrative Tools. Maybe you
can run mmc and add the snap-in for IIS, then save it.

Thank you Plamen,
I solved the problem yesterday. I had to uninstall Visual Studio, .Net
Framework 2.0 and IIS. Then, I re-installed them back in the right order. I
noticed that Oracle 10i has something to do also with .Net Framework.
Probably when I installed it, something happened, but not sure. Now, I am
fine.

Thank you for your response and advice.

Miguel
