How to get value of IntPtrHello,
I'm using the IEnumMoniker.Next method, based on an IEnumMoniker reference I've obtained by looking up values in the running object table. The third parameter to IEnumMoniker.Next is an IntPtr. It's supposed to return the number of items actually returned, based on the number requested as specified by the first parameter. My question is, how do I properly call IEnumMoniker.Next and specify the IntPtr final parameter such that its value is set? So far, everytime I try to get the value of the IntPtr variable it is always 0 after the call. Thanks, Notre Hi Notre,
You can use Marshal.AllocHGlobal to allocate the memory for the ULONG as required by IEnumMoniker::Next, then use Marshal.ReadInt32 to read its value. IRunningObjectTable prot; IEnumMoniker pMonkEnum; GetRunningObjectTable(0,out prot); prot.EnumRunning(out pMonkEnum); pMonkEnum.Reset(); // Churn through enumeration. IntPtr fetched = Marshal.AllocHGlobal(4); IMoniker []pmon = new IMoniker[1]; while(pMonkEnum.Next(1, pmon, fetched) == 0) { int iFetched = Marshal.ReadInt32(fetched); IBindCtx pCtx; CreateBindCtx(0, out pCtx); string str; pmon[0].GetDisplayName(pCtx,null,out str); } Marshal.FreeHGlobal(fetched); Sincerely, Walter Wang (waw***@online.microsoft.com, remove 'online.')
