Has anyone managed to install this services pack?
I have tried on several computers and it complains that it can't find Visual
Studio!

VS2005 SP1? it has not been released. OTH, VS2003 SP1 was release a few
weeks ago. Could it be that you are trying to install VS2003 SP1 to your
VS2005?

Norman,

Currently, Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 is in beta stage. It's
availability has been announced for example here:

http://blogs.msdn.com/somasegar/archive/2006/09/26/772250.aspx

One of the main purposes of this service pack (in addition to fixing bugs)
is to make Visual Studio 2005 compatible with Windows Vista.

I have a copy for vs 2005 sp1 beta. Maybe the download has been withdrawn.
VS 2003 sp1 installs without a problem.
