PInvoke doesn't work with Compact Framework 2.0

The code from this article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnnetcomp/html/PInvokeLib.asp

Does not work if compiled using the Compact .NET Framework v2.0.

Since the code runs without error (it just returns bogus data - at
least for the call log methods), I'm at a loss to understand why it
doesn't work.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
