Did I buy obsolete book?

Help, I just bought "Applied Microsoft .NET Framework Programming"
(0735614229) only a month ago, and found out that the second edition of
this book, titled "CLR via C#" is now available.

I don't think Amazon will take the book back, so is my brand new, but old
2002 edition worth taking the time to read ?

Is there a lot of things in 1.1 that went obsolete in 2.0 ?

Thanks

Not much became obsolete - it's more that it'll be incomplete now. (It
won't include generics, for instance.) However, it's an excellent book
in its own right - well worth reading.
