Unable to install the .NET 1.1 sp1

Hi,

I am unable to install the .NET 1.1 sp1.

I get the following message....

"the upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows installer service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch
may update a different version of the program. verify that the program
to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct
upgrade patch "

Any suggestions?

The wording in the message implies that you are installing an "update"
version if SP1 which would require that the original 1.0 exists. Try
downloading the 1.1 version from Microsoft. Following is for the
redistributable...
