I am confused because I see a framework 2.0 Beta to download - If I download
the RTM VS 2005 - then use the 2.0 Beta - then is it likely I will need to
deploy Beta 2,0  to client machines ??... and the expected date for the non
Beta 2.0 is ??

Thanks - I guess not all web pages have been updated - the site you have says
published 10/17/05 and has no beta referenced.

There is a Framework 2.0 RTM download on the Microsoft download site. You
can download right now.

The RTM installer will check for installed beta components and require you
to remove them be fore installing the RTM. This includes .NET Framework. So,
even if you've already installed the beta, it will be gone before you can
use it with VS 2005 RTM.
