NET Framework 2.0 Beta 2 installation XP profile and SQL Express problemsAfter installing .NET Framework 2.0 Beta 2 Redistributable, my account in Windows XP SP2 got corrupt. This meant that every time I logged on with this account (with administrator rights), it was as a new profile. Logoff didn't save the profile. After having deleted the profile, everything worked as normal. I also had some more trouble installing the framework. In the first two attempts I tried with the redistributable, and this one didn't install at all even if the setup procedure completed ok. The second time the profile got corrupt. After the third try everything went OK. But this time the SQL Server Express reported wrong .NET version and didn't want to install. After trying to install the framework with the Web Developer Express downloader, everything worked OK. The download took some while, since the speed was extremly slow. And it's time for testing the framework. Looking forward to beta 3 now ;) /Bonavox Great to hear you solved your problems. BTW, there isn't going to be a Beta
3; It will be released officially November 7, and there are rumours that the RTM will be available for download from MSDN Subscriptions shortly. -- Show quoteCarsten Thomsen Communities - http://community.integratedsolutions.dk <bona***@online.no> wrote in message news:1129276693.583102.231850@g47g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > Hi, > After installing .NET Framework 2.0 Beta 2 Redistributable, my account > in Windows XP SP2 got corrupt.
