Rollback when trying to install Beta2When trying to install the .NET Framework Beta 2 on my coworker's system
(Windows 2000), there is a "roll-back" error. The installation rolls back and will not install. I am not a programmer. Can anyone please help? -Teri in San Diego Any messages about the error? There often is something displayed.

then the progress bars "roll back" as though in reverse install mode, saying the beta app could not be installed. There is no specific .DLL missing or anything like that. Framework 1.0 and the 1.1 update is installed on the system. But, 2.0 Beta just refuses to install. I will get details on the exact verbiage for the error message along with the progress bars. It is almost as if trying to install an application where Microsoft does not have all of the components, & thus refuses to install, like with FrontPage, where you need the disk or something like that. Again, I will get the specifics - & write them down this time. It is hard to capture because it says it is initializing, registering files, and then just goes into reverse mode, with the bars rolling back and it says "rollback" or "roll-back" in the error message - Show quote "Phil Wilson" wrote: > Any messages about the error?
