binding to a column in my table   = fine no problem.

Having my dropdownlist only produce DISTINCT values without giving it its
very own SQLDataSource control  = problem

I have 8 pulldowns for a test page I would like to populate those 8 pulldown
with DISTINCT values so that I can pick numbers and populate my Datagrid.
