cannot connect to oracle with VS 2003 and oracle Pluginhi..
i downloaded oracle's Dotnet Developer pack for dotnet studio not i get add connection window, i specify in the datasource my database name,and in the user/password, etc.. when i try to connect i get ora-12154, what am i missing? Elhanan,
I had the same issue. I was running Oracle 9i and had to modify the settings in the Oracle Net Manager in the Oracle 10g home and modify the settings in Service Naming node. as i noticed in my registry i saw i have to clients folders KEY_OraClient10g_home1 KEY_OraClient10g_home2 and to client folers in the product librarery i remember i installed it twice becosue i wasnt sure if it was ok, can i drop one? Yes, you can. I used Net Manager to delete mine and then had to clean the
registry.
