We have a production server that hosts numerous ASP.NET 1.1 web
applications, as well as several ASP applications. It currently has MDAC 2.6 installed. A new product we are installing requires MDAC 2.7 or higher. My gut tells me that installing MDAC 2.8 will not under any circumstances impact legacy applications negatively, but I thought I should ask if there are any exceptions. Thanks in advance. Mark Each new version of the MDAC stack has had some side-effects. Some broke
applications, some did not. I strongly encourage you to test with 2.8. Remember that this is a common DLL that many applications must share. When testing you have to measure the impact on these as well. -- Show quote____________________________________ William (Bill) Vaughn Author, Mentor, Consultant Microsoft MVP INETA Speaker www.betav.com/blog/billva www.betav.com Please reply only to the newsgroup so that others can benefit.
