.net framework 1.1 installation on Windows NT 4 with SBSHi,
In reading KB815176 it says that you can install .net framework on systems including NT 4.0, but it says that you need to have IIS 5 installed. However IIS 5 to my knowledge (and reading posts) can't be installed on NT 4.0. Does having small business server for NT 4 make a difference? I'm not familiar with it as I'm installing it on a friend's machine. Thanks - Zack Hi Zack,
You need IIS 5+ if you want to create web applications (asp.net). You don't need it to create other types of programs. I don't think small business server for nt4 would make a difference, but I don't know for sure. I've read rumors that you can force iis 5 onto nt4 in some way or other, but I couldn't locate anything substantial. -- Happy Coding! Morten Wennevik [C# MVP]
